Joel Southerland
Joel Southerland became Lead Pastor of Peavine Baptist Church in December, 2016. He serves in a dual role and is also the Executive Director of Evangelism for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Prior to his work at NAMB, he served as a Senior Pastor, Business Executive, and the Director of Evangelism and Communications/Media Strategy for the Georgia Baptist Convention. Joel has a Masters in Leadership from Liberty University. He is married to his beautiful childhood sweetheart, Sherry, and they have 2 daughters, Savana and Mikayla.
