Rolland Slade is a native San Diegan. He has been serving in pastoral ministry since 1987, and as the senior pastor of Meridian Baptist Church since 2004. For years, Pastor Rolland has been forging key partnerships between the faith community and local community development initiatives, from children’s wellness to re-entry services. He is a frequent presenter on the role of the faith community in community development, violence prevention, and community renewal at conferences throughout the nation. Since 2014 he has served on the SBC Executive Committee. Serving 2 years as an Officer and Chairman of the Cooperative Program Committee and is currently serving as Vice Chairman. Still, his greatest passion in ministry is leading the work of the Lord at Meridian Baptist Church.
